Music was never meant to be an end unto itself.  It also isn't a language ... whatever it is, it begins when language ceases to be enough.

It was given to provide a way for the inexpressible to be expressed —
         for describing what will always be indescribable —
         for uttering what is unutterable —
         for humanity to achingly remember in misty fragments that which we lost and may gain anew,
                   that which is beyond the flaming sword placed by the One who made and walked there with us...

Music has, and always will, call me home.
